Know Our Surroundings

Covering more than 3,000 square kilometres along the beautiful Ljungandalen in the heart of Sweden, Ånge Municipality extends. Bordering Jämtland to the north, Härjedalen to the west, and Hälsingland to the south, it offers varied and magnificent nature with fertile lowlands and forest-rich highlands.

There is an ancient cultural history here, with villages and communities inhabited since the Iron Age, each with its own special identity. The economy in Ånge has been shaped by both its geography and the trends of the times, a development that continues now with a new chapter of green industry and energy. The municipality is divided into three parishes from east to west: Torp, Borgsjö, and Haverö.
